Looking for the best June recipes? This list of 30 healthy seasonal dishes covers every meal of the day using peak-season produce like strawberries, snap peas, beets, and fresh herbs

“I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where it was always June.”

Looking for the best June recipes? You're in the right place. This collection of 30 healthy seasonal dishes covers every meal of the day — from bright summer breakfasts to easy weeknight dinners and sweet treats — all built around the gorgeous produce that hits its peak this month.
June is one of my favorite times to cook. The farmers markets are finally showing off: strawberries everywhere, snap peas you can eat standing at the stall, the first cucumbers, bundles of fresh herbs, and if you're lucky, garlic scapes. This list leans hard into all of it.
I've reorganized this post for 2026 with better recipes, cleaner categories, and a few new additions I'm genuinely excited about. Whether you're meal prepping for the week, planning a dinner outside, or just trying to eat with the season, there's something here for you.
WHAT'S IN SEASON IN JUNE?
The June produce haul is one of the best of the year, especially here in the northeastern United States. Early in the month we're still riding the tail end of spring — asparagus, snap peas, spinach — and by the end of June the summer bounty is in full swing.
Fill your market bag with:
- Strawberries — peak early June; don't sleep on them
- Cherries — arrive mid-month
- Blueberries — just starting to come in late June
- Sugar snap peas and snow peas
- Asparagus — last call for the season
- Beets — at their best right now
- Cucumbers — perfect for salads, cold soups, and snacking
- Zucchini and summer squash — just starting
- Greens — kale, chard, collards, arugula, lettuces of all kinds
- Radishes
- Rhubarb — still going strong
- Spinach
- Fresh herbs — basil, dill, mint, parsley, cilantro
- Garlic scapes — grab them when you see them, they disappear fast
I hope you LOVE these healthy summer recipes, perfect for grilling, for casual dinners enjoyed outside, bright healthy seasonal summer breakfast ideas, and a whole host of bips and bops to make up the perfect summer meal – a large board filled with veggies, fruits, and fun dips!

June Breakfast Recipes
June mornings call for something fresh and a little celebratory. These June breakfast recipes make the most of early summer fruit and the vegetables that are hitting their peak — from savory egg dishes loaded with seasonal greens to smoothies, scones, and more

June Salads and Sides
Summer meals should be light, fresh, exciting, and also easy. There are many summer days when I am perfectly happy with a fresh cucumber salad and a big bowl of cooked greens, or a chilled soup and a hunk of cheese.

EARLY SUMMER SWEET TREATS!
I typically go through a popsicle-making phase each summer, I can't wait to see what inspiration strikes this year! In the meantime try my easy rhubarb yogurt pops, or tart and refreshing hibiscus lime pops.

SEASONAL BIPS AND BOPS
What's better than a simple impromptu dinner made up of really good dips, seasonal produce, and a cheese or two? Trick question. Nothing – nothing is better. Here are some of my favorite bips and bops for the month that you can enjoy as quick snacks or as a part of a bigger meal. Do not sleep on those pickled swiss chard stems! Add them to salads and sandwiches and grain bowls for a real treat.
