Packed with natural healing power, real lemon-ginger tea uses only 2 ingredients to make a delicious health-supportive drink in under 10 minutes. This wholesome recipe is more potent than store-bought tea bags, tastes better, and costs much less. The difference is night and day.
Cut lemon into quarters and slice the ginger in long horizontal slices (there is no need to peel the ginger)
In a medium pot, bring lemon, ginger and 4 cups of water to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. For a stronger brew, turn off heat and allow to steep for an additional 10 minutes.
Strain into a mug, adding honey to taste and an extra squeeze of lemon juice if desired.
Optional add-ins
Add Fresh Mint Leaves an/or 1 tsp Ground Turmeric or 1 tbsp Sliced Fresh Turmeric
Notes
The longer you steep the tea, the more potent the flavor. For a milder taste, reduce the amount of ginger and steep for only 3 minutes.
