1 tsp ground cardamom + 1 tbsp brown sugar or coconut palm sugarto rim glass
Instructions
Begin by running the juicy part of a lemon wedge around the top rim of a glass. Fill a shallow plate or bowl with ground cardamom and brown sugar and dip the rim of the glass in the cardamom sugar until coated on all sides. Set aside.
Add whiskey, lemon juice, and jam to a cocktail shake. Shake vigorously for 15-30 seconds.
Fill reserved glass hot earl grey tea, top with whiskey jam mixture. NOTE: Depending on the thickness of the jam you are using you may need to strain, or if you don't mind some peach pieces in your hot toddy just free pour into the earl grey tea.
Garnish with cinnamon stick and fresh lemon slice
MOCKTAIL VERSION
Eliminate the whiskey and replace it with fresh squeeze orange juice

Notes
NOTE:Tips for using jam in cocktails.Depending on the thickness of the jam that you use it may not easily pour through a strainer. You have 2 options: You can either double strain through a fine mesh sieve OR (my preference) you can free pour into the glass and you may end up with peach bits in your drink but I happen to love that!
