A rich and creamy homemade vegan hot chocolate recipe. Dark chocolate paired with citrus notes of earl grey tea and a sprinkle of an herbal adaptogen powder for that extra ooey-gooey feeling. You HAVE to try this recipe!
Add tea to a small pot, whisk in cocoa powder and coconut palm sugar until no lumps remain.
Add oat milk and bring to a simmer, add chopped dark chocolate and stir until all chocolate has melted.
Add tulsi and whisk to combine.
Serve hot with marshmallows
Notes
MILK SUBSTITUTES:Any plant-based milk or traditional milk will work in this recipe. I prefer oat milk because it is the creamiest. A NOTE ON CHOCOLATE:I used an 85% dark chocolate bar in the recipe, I prefer super dark chocolate but you are welcome to use the chocolate that you prefer.Chocolate chips will work but they will take longer to melt and they don't tend to produce as creamy a texture.
